Land acquisition process for expansion of Kangra Airport: Sukhu

Shimla. The process of land acquisition for the expansion of Kangra Airport will be completed by the coming month of March. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said this in his address while attending a program of a private institution in Shimla on Tuesday.

He said that every district headquarters is being connected with heliport facility. Despite the disaster and economic crisis, the state government has succeeded in bringing Himachal’s tourism back on track and record number of tourists have reached all the tourist places of the state.

This year more than 1.5 crore tourists have come to Himachal. The state government is providing more and more facilities to attract tourists in the state.

Along with this, infrastructure is being developed for the convenience of the tourists visiting the state so that they can have a pleasant travel experience by coming here. CM said that there are about 9 thousand hotels in the state and considering the number of tourists, the operation of home stays is also being regulated. He said that the state is full of natural beauty and has up to 70 percent forest area.

That is why Himachal Pradesh is also called the lungs of North India. On this occasion, Industries Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister (Media) Naresh Chauhan and other dignitaries were present.
