Patna: The nomination process for the Lok Sabha elections started in Bihar from Wednesday. Meanwhile, a round of meetings is going on in the Grand Alliance regarding seat distribution and selection of candidates.
Party’s National President Lalu Prasad Yadav was authorized to distribute tickets in the RJD Parliamentary Board meeting held at the residence of former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi on Wednesday. Talking to reporters after the meeting, RJD leader and former Bihar minister Shyam Rajak said that after the RJD parliamentary board meeting, it has been decided that Lalu Prasad Yadav will decide the seats on the alliance and the names of the candidates.
He said that apart from Bihar, in other states too, where there will be RJD candidates under the India alliance, the name will also be decided by the national president of the party. It is said that in this meeting the names of the candidates were discussed and election strategies were also discussed.
