Lahaul-Spiti MLA asks depts to expedite development projects

Lahaul and Spiti MLA Anuradha Rana chaired several review meetings in Kaza on Monday. She directed the district administration and various departments to expedite development work, ensuring the quality and timely completion of all ongoing projects.

She chaired a meeting of the Project Advisory Committee, a Forest Rights Act (FRA) meeting, and a meeting of the Special Area Development Authority (SADA) for Kaza and Tabo. During the discussions, Rana reviewed the progress of key development projects and stressed the need for better inter-departmental coordination to ensure their completion within the stipulated timeline without compromising on quality.

The MLA also reviewed issues raised by non-official members and directed the concerned departments to address public grievances on a priority basis. She emphasized that development initiatives should directly benefit the people and contribute to the overall progress of the tribal district.

Following the meeting, Rana interacted with local residents and listened to their concerns and suggestions regarding development, civic amenities, and public services. He assured them that the administration and relevant departments would work together to address their grievances.

Reiterating his commitment to the well-being of the people of Lahaul and Spiti, Rana said the government is focused on strengthening infrastructure, improving public services, and ensuring balanced development across the district. He further stated that the administration has been directed to be responsive to the needs of the people and ensure the proper implementation of development projects within the stipulated timeline.
