Ladakh: A tragic incident has happened in the Daulat Beg Oldi area. The war started on Friday. When the tanks were crossing the river, the water level suddenly rose. The soldiers present in the tank got trapped in it. 5 Indian Army soldiers have been martyred in this accident. Daulat Beg Oldi is a high altitude war zone. At present, the armies of India and China are face to face in this area. Tank exercise was going on in the Daulat Beg Oldi area on Friday. There are many army tanks here. A study was going on on how tanks are taken across the river. A tank was trying to cross the river, when suddenly the flow of the river increased.
A tank was washed away in it. There were 4 to 5 soldiers in this tank. At present the rescue operation is going on. Army soldiers were crossing the river in a T-72 tank in the Daulat Beg Oldi area near the Line of Actual Control (LAC). A soldier from Pauri district of Uttarakhand was among the soldiers who were martyred in the incident of rising water level. As soon as the news of his sacrifice was received, there was mourning in the ancestral village. Bhupendra Singh Negi’s wife lives in Dehradun to educate the children. His mother has passed away earlier. His father also lives with him in Dehradun.
The family of martyred soldier Bhupendra Singh Negi will reach the ancestral village Bishlada today. There they will have the last darshan of Bhupendra Singh Negi. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also expressed his condolences on the sacrifice in the tank accident in Ladakh. It is sad news that Indian Army soldiers were martyred due to sudden rise in water level while crossing the -72 tank river in Ladakh.
