Gopalganj (IANS)| There are many such Durga temples in Bihar, but the Lachwar Durga temple located in Thave block of Gopalganj district has a different identity. The local people believe that all the sufferings of the people who come here with a true heart go away, that is why this temple is identified as Mukti Dham.
As such, a crowd of devotees gather in this temple every day, but on the occasion of full moon of every month and on the occasion of Sharadiya and Chaitra Navratras, a large number of people reach the Durga temple. It is said that as soon as the devotees who come here receive the infinite blessings of the mother, their sorrows and diseases are destroyed.
Devotees from Uttar Pradesh to Nepal come here to visit the mother and go to their homes after getting relief from incurable pain.
It can also be called superstition, but people believe that Lachhwar Mai also liberates from possession of ghosts, witches and witches.
A strange sight can be seen here during Chaitra Navratri. In the temple premises, women are shaking their heads loudly, some women are swinging on trees and some men are swinging. It is believed that ghosts run away just by the touch of the soil here. The ghost here is also very important.
Lalka Baba, the priest of the Lachhwar temple, also says that all the sufferings of the devotees who come here end. He told that special worship is done on the sixth day of Navratri. Devotees who come here on Saptami, Ashtami get relief from all their problems, that’s why devotees from far off places gather here.
It is believed that ghosts leave their bodies just by touching the soil here. The devotees who come here have full faith here.
