KSRTC introduces new scheme to reduce fare for IV to Rs 500, lunch included

Kerala: Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar said that KSRTC will launch an industrial tour programme in which school students will visit industrial establishments for a day including food. The fee for the visit including food will be less than Rs 500. There is a provision to leave in the morning and return in the evening. The services of trained teachers will be taken to explain about the industrial establishments. The minister informed that in the next phase this service will also be made available to college students.

Out of 112 centres, Sabarimala budget tourism project has also been started in KSRTC. After visiting Sabarimala, services will be started by focusing on temples. Additional buses can also be arranged as per bookings. The minister said that at present KSRTC services have been well arranged in Pampa.

The new mobile app of the Transport Department will be launched soon, which will include scientific methods of Dreamwing and mock tests. It will include videos teaching all the legal aspects related to Dreamwing. Apart from Malayalam, it is also available in Hindi, English, Tamil and Kannada languages, so it can be used by people from other parts of the world as well. After clearing various levels, those who pass the test will get a certificate issued by the Transport Commissioner. The minister said that another mobile application will be launched soon which will include all the services of the Transport Department. All services including road safety and KSRTC reservation are available in this app. The Transport Department has started maintenance work by correcting irregularities in the timing of traffic signal lights at many places. The minister also said that through this, traffic jams prevailing in many areas including Angamaly, Pandalam and Kalady have been avoided as much as possible.
