Korutla: Man slits neighbor’s throat for Rs 200

Jagtial: In a shocking incident, a man got his calf cut with a knife after he refused to give Rs 200 to buy liquor in Korutla town on Friday night.

According to the police, Mohammed Ghaus and Shahrukh were neighbors in Gangapet area of Korutla city. Both were daily wage labourers.

On Friday, Shahrukh drank liquor worth Rs 200 at Gaus. The accused argued with the victim when he asked for money.

Angered by the incident, Shahrukh attacked Gaus with a sword and slit his throat. The villagers beat the accused and took him to the hospital by horse, where he is undergoing treatment.

The case has been registered and investigation is underway.
