Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has directed the Health Department to remain alert regarding seasonal diseases. In compliance with the instructions, Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh has done an in-depth review of various schemes run by the Health Department in the Manthan Room of Korea District Panchayat. Langeh gave necessary guidelines to the officers and employees of the Health Department to promote health infrastructure and provide better health services. He said that working as per the wishes of the Chief Minister should be the first priority of all of us.
Langeh reviewed the progress of construction work going on in the community, primary and sub-primary health centers of the district and directed the Chief Medical and Health Officer to use quality material and take strict action against the concerned officers and contractors for negligence in quality. He directed to complete the process being done for recruitment to various posts in the district hospital soon and publish the advertisement.
In the meeting, Collector Langeh did a detailed review of the registration of pregnant mothers’ checkups, institutional delivery, vaccination of children and pregnant mothers, nutrition rehabilitation centers, anemia, birth rate, infant mortality rate, maternal mortality rate, malnutrition, sickle cell screening etc. in the district. He issued notices to lab technicians and other employees who were negligent towards their work and directed the Chief Medical and Health Officer to take strict action against them. In the meeting, he asked to keep a constant watch on the outbreak of seasonal diseases like diarrhea, malaria and dengue and to keep all preparations complete to deal with emergency situations. He instructed the departmental officers to make people aware about health by organizing camps regularly in rural areas. He said that the officers and employees of the department should work with team spirit and provide better health facilities using the available resources.
