Karnataka :Some people tried to encroach on Kolar Municipality’s land near Khadripur village on the outskirts of the city, following which officials visited the place on Thursday and got it cleared.
The officials had secured a total of 6.11 acres of land purchased for the Municipal Corporation near Khadripur two months ago by fencing it. Recently, some people have reported that they have moved the court and got a plaque installed on the land and got a number registered.
The board installed by the Municipal Corporation has been damaged and a number has been registered in the Bengaluru court stating the land dispute. This came to the notice of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Naveen Chandra, who reached the spot along with Chairman Lakshmi Devamma, Revenue Officer Venu and staff and got the land cleared.
In this matter, some people intervened and said, ‘This land is ours, we can do whatever we want.’ To this, the officials said, ‘This land belongs to the Municipal Council. If you have any documents, submit them, then we can discuss it.’ The police intervened and drove them away from there.
