Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai is committed to improving health facilities in the state. Under his guidance, health facilities in the state are being continuously increased and special care is being taken of the patients. For patients who have serious diseases and are not able to afford treatment, financial assistance of up to Rs 25 lakh is being provided under the Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme. Under this scheme, Yogesh Sahu, a resident of Mamta Nagar, Rajnandgaon, has undergone free kidney transplant. A year ago, a test in a private hospital revealed that he had kidney problems. After which he was undergoing dialysis in Rajnandgaon. Under the Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme, he got better treatment at AIIMS and his kidney transplant was done. The entire amount for this treatment was borne under the Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme. Yogesh said that he is healthy now and is also getting tested every week. Mr. Yogesh has expressed his gratitude and thanks to the Chief Minister for running the Chief Minister Special Assistance Scheme in the state.
It is noteworthy that the state government is running the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme by expanding the Sanjeevani Assistance Fund to provide better health facilities to the citizens and to save them from the expenses incurred in the treatment of rare diseases. Under the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme, treatment facilities up to a maximum of Rs 25 lakh are being provided to eligible families of the state for identified rare diseases. Chhattisgarh is the first state which is providing such a huge amount for the treatment of the citizens of the state, due to which the citizens are getting better health facilities.
