Raipur. Khamtarai police has seized narcotic syrup from a grinder shop. Police had received information that a person aged around 30-35 years is looking for customers to sell illegal narcotic syrup in large quantities in a white sack at his grinder shop located in Khamtarai Hatri market. On which, under the direction of senior officers, Khamtarai police team went to the said place and identified the person through an informer and caught him. During interrogation, the person told his name to be Prashant Vahane, son of Vijay Vahane, age 33 years, resident of Vijay Nagar near Chhathva Talab, Khamtarai police station, Raipur district. When the team members searched the white sack kept in his shop, he was found to have banned narcotic syrup CEREX SYRUP, on which the person was asked for valid documents regarding keeping the banned narcotic syrup, but he did not produce any document.
On which the team members arrested accused Prashant Vahane, father Vijay Vahane, age 33 years, resident of Vijay Nagar, near Chhathva Talab, Police Station Khamtarai, District Raipur and seized banned narcotic syrup CEREX SYRUP, a total of 37 vials of 100 ML each, worth Rs 7326/- from his possession and registered a case number 314/2025 under section 21(c) of NDPS Act against the accused at Police Station Khamtarai, District Raipur and legal action was taken against the accused. On the basis of forward and backward linkages, detailed interrogation is going on regarding other accused in the case.
