Khammam: 40-year-old man dies after being struck by lightning while talking on a call

Khammam: A 40-year-old man died of electric shock after he accidentally placed an electric water heater under his arm while talking on the phone on Sunday. The incident occurred when the deceased D Mahesh Babu (40), who lived near the Hanuman temple in Kalvoddu in the city, was getting his pet dog ready for a bath on Sunday night.

While talking on the phone, he accidentally placed the water heater under his arm instead of placing it in a bucket and switched it on. He fell unconscious due to the electric shock. Mahesh Babu’s wife Durgadevi rushed him to a hospital with the help of locals, where doctors declared him dead.
