New Delhi: After joining the Lucknow Super Giants camp before the 17th season of IPL, South African cricketer Keshav Maharaj reached Ayodhya on Thursday and had darshan of Ram Lalla and offered special prayers.
The left arm African spinner shared a photo of going to Ayodhya on social media, which is now going viral. Keshav Maharaj wrote in the caption of the post, ‘Jai Shri Ram, blessings to all. Keshav Maharaj is ready to train with the Lucknow team for IPL 2024, but he will not be an official member of the team.
No team had bid on Maharaj in the IPL auction held in December 2023. After that, recently Lucknow had said in a statement that Keshav Maharaj will not be a part of their official team, but will remain with them for the entire season.
Earlier, Maharaj had shared a video on Instagram ahead of the consecration of the Ram temple on January 22, in which he had said, “Looking forward to the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. May it bring peace and wisdom to all.” Lucknow will start its IPL 2024 season on March 24 against Rajasthan Royals.
