Kerala: Priyanka Gandhi praises the courage of the people of Wayanad

Wayanad: MP Priyanka Gandhi said she is like a member of every family in Wayanad. She said the people of Wayanad have tremendous courage. She clarified that the Congress party has done its best to help. She was speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony for 100 houses being built by the Congress party for the victims of the Wayanad landslide disaster.

Everyone faced the Wayanad disaster by supporting each other, regardless of caste or religion. I was not your MP then. My brother Rahul Gandhi was the MP of Wayanad then. Now I am your MP. I am now a member of your family. I understood your struggle at that time. I also heard that your family tried to revive old ways.
Life is difficult without loved ones. I have seen a man who lost his farm and made a living by driving an auto. I have also seen strong young people here who tried to rebuild their lives despite losing everyone in their family. Everyone in the Congress party has spoken out to get you justice. Priyanka Gandhi said, “These issues have been raised many times in Parliament. All MPs met the Union Home Minister and demanded that the Wayanad tragedy be declared a national disaster. A letter was written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this. We protested outside Parliament. We did everything to support you. We tried to save your lives, no matter which political party you belong to.”
