Thiruvananthapuram: The state leadership of Congress has decided to step up its efforts against police dominance by dealing with KSU and Youth Congress workers protesting against the Nav Kerala Sada programme.

After announcing to organize a protest march to 564 police commissionerates on Wednesday, the Congress also decided to march to the DGP office on Saturday, which is expected to conclude on Nav Kerala Day.

Before the march to the DGP office, the state Congress leadership will observe the 13th death anniversary of former minister Principal K Karunakaran at Indira Bhawan.

On Wednesday, more than five lakh people, with the participation of 1,500 committees of the Congress, marched across 564 police commissionerates, protesting against the pistol attacks of the police, CPM and ministerial principals against KSU workers. -Congresso Juvenil, Sudhakaran said.
