Kejriwal accuses BJP and Congress of copying AAP’s manifesto

New Delhi (IANS) | After Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana’, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday claimed that the BJP and Congress were following the path shown by AAP. Inaugurating the scheme in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, Chouhan announced that his government would transfer Rs 1000 to women under the ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana’ and that they had received 1.25 crore registrations for the scheme.

Responding to this, Kejriwal tweeted that the scheme is nothing but a copy of AAP’s manifesto.

Kejriwal tweeted, “Both the Congress and the BJP have started following the path shown by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Congress’s guarantee in Karnataka was a copy of AAP’s manifesto. Now, in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP has also followed AAP’s path. This is a positive development. The welfare of the people should be the priority, no matter which party implements it.

Chouhan said that Saturday is an important day in his life.

He said, we have received 1.25 crore registrations for this scheme. Over a period of 12 months, all women will receive Rs 12,000 in their bank accounts. The initiative aims to empower women and enable them to meet their basic needs.
