Dehradun/Rudraprayag (IANS) | The weather is continuously disturbing the Kedarnath Dham Yatra. The direct effect of unseasonal rain and snowfall is now visible on the Chardham Yatra. Due to which the devotees are facing the troubles of the weather. Due to continuous snowfall in Dham, it is suggested to limit the number of pilgrims. For which the nodal officer has given necessary guidelines to his subordinate officers. Yes, the nodal officer of Kedarnath, BVRC Purushottam has suggested that there should be a limited number of passengers in the current situation regarding the arrangements for Kedarnath. Not only this, some other important instructions were also given to the district administration by the nodal officer.
Due to heavy snowfall in Kedarnath Dham, Yatra is being affected, it is difficult to operate helicopter service and it is also difficult to send more number of pilgrims. Therefore, the state government through the nodal officer has decided to conduct the yatra only on the basis of the prevailing conditions. For Kedarnath Dharma, the government has nominated senior IAS officer BVRC Purushottam and after becoming the nodal officer, he has taken stock of the situation by traveling on foot to Kedarnath. Some suggestions have also been given from his side to improve the arrangements in Kedarnath Dham, which is also very important in the event of snowfall.
IAS officer BVRC Purushottam said that he had seen the conditions by staying in Kedarnath for two days. During the inspection, he found that this time better preparations have been made by the district administration, including the drinking water department and the health department, but due to lack of adequate information, the devotees are facing problems. For this, instructions have been given by the nodal officer to the district administration to install maximum number of sign boards on the yatra route. The most important thing is the way it is snowing. It has also been suggested by the nodal officer to limit the number of pilgrims for Kedarnath Dham Yatra to about 5000 at a time.
BVRC Purushottam said that the way it is snowing. In that, sending a large number of devotees to Kedarnath can cause problems. That’s why it is being said that only about 5000 passengers will be sent to Kedarnath. While in the earlier days more than 20,000 pilgrims had reached Kedarnath. Apart from this, the nodal officer also noticed the lack of wrongly standing horses and mules at various places on the yatra route. For this, guidelines will now be given to their owners under a new plan. Actually, horses and mules are wrongly parked on the way. Due to this, the devotees passing through the route face problems. Therefore, it has also been asked to make arrangements to keep them at a certain place and to erect them systematically.
