Hyderabad: On the occasion of Ugadi festival, farmers anointed the portrait of Telangana’s first Chief Minister and BRS chief KCR with milk saying, ‘Farmer brother, you should come again.’ In Mukra (K) village of Ichchoda mandal of Adilabad district, farmers displayed posters saying ‘KCR is needed’ and ‘He should come again’.
Farmers said that during the Congress rule, there was no farmer assurance, no loan waiver, and the lives of farmers were disrupted due to the lack of proper electricity supply, and that only when KCR comes back will there be a real festival for farmers. They criticized the Congress government for cheating the farmers in the name of declaration. Farmers of Mukhra (K) village said that during the KCR rule, farmers used to get Rythubandhu for crop investment by saying ting ting, but under the Congress rule, schemes are limited to papers.
Former village sarpanch Gadge Meenakshi, former MPTC Gadge Subhash, Vittal, Datta, Venkati, Santosh, Maruthi, Rao Saab, and many women participated in this program.
