Katpadi – Tirupati MEMU trains cancelled for 15 days

Tamil Nadu: Due to maintenance work, MEMU trains running between Katpadi and Tirupati will be cancelled every Monday and Friday from Friday (April 17) to June 5.

A press release issued by the Chennai Railway Division on Thursday stated: Maintenance work is underway on the track and other equipment between Katpadi and Tirupati. Consequently, the MEMU train from Tirupati to Katpadi at 6:40 a.m. and the Katpadi to Tirupati train at 7:25 p.m. will be completely cancelled on Mondays and Fridays, starting next Friday (April 17) and June 5.

Partial cancellation: On the same days, the Villupuram-Tirupati Express train (No. 16854) at 5:45 a.m. will run to Katpadi. ​​The Villupuram-Tirupati Express train (No. 16853) at 1:40 p.m. will be diverted from Katpadi.

Arakkonam – Tirupati: Rail and technical maintenance work will be carried out at the Chennai Arakkonam Workshop from April 20th to April 25th. Consequently, IMU trains from Tiruttani to Arakkonam at 9:15 pm and 11:10 pm have been completely cancelled from April 19th to 26th. Similarly, trains from Arakkonam to Tiruttani at 4:00 am and 5:00 am will also be cancelled from April 20th to April 26th.
