New Delhi. The results of the Karnataka Assembly elections have been a source of controversy in political circles across the country. Opposition parties have started planning attacks and strategy against the ruling BJP. When the meetings of Maha Vikas Aghadi have started in Maharashtra also, then who will be the Chief Minister in Karnataka? Talks started on this. Though there is a contest between Shivakumar and former chief minister Siddaramaiah for the chief minister’s post, the final decision is said to be taken by party president Mallikarjun Kharge.
There has been talk of a split in the Congress regarding the Chief Minister’s post in Karnataka. In this regard, the talk of Shivkumar adopting a different path has also started gaining momentum in the political corridors, while Shivkumar himself while talking to ANI has clarified his stand regarding the next political step. Not only this, he has also talked about what will be the target of the Congress party for the Lok Sabha elections.
“Lok Sabha elections are our next challenge. We should win at least 18 to 20 seats in the Lok Sabha elections”, said D.K.Shivakumar. As soon as he was asked about his desire for the chief minister’s post, he pointed fingers at the party leaders. The party will take a decision in this regard. Why should I care? If I am eligible, they will give me that responsibility”, he said.
In Karnataka Congress some MLAs support Shivakumar while some MLAs support Siddaramaiah. Will you take a different decision on the strength of the MLAs supporting you? As soon as the question was asked, Shivakumar dismissed the possibility.
I do not want to break any MLA. We are all one. We are over 135 in number. I don’t want to settle anywhere. MLA likes me or not. But I am the state president of the party. I am a responsible person. I want to treat everyone equally. This is the basic ideology of the Congress party. My best wishes to Siddaramaiah.”
I am not a backstabbing person. I’m not even a blackmailer. Those who have such culture should do so. why would I do that? I will not do that. I don’t want to create wrong history. One who is born has to go one day or the other. I do not want to leave any wrong mark”, D.K. Shivkumar also explained this.
