Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra: Will not rest until BJP comes to power

Davangere: State BJP president BY Vijayendra on Sunday said the Congress suddenly remembers the caste-based socio-economic survey only when it realizes its defeat in the elections.

Addressing media persons on the sidelines of the 24th All India Veerashaiva Lingayat Mahasabha here on Sunday, he stressed the need to ensure social justice for the backward classes. “But by implementing the Kanthraj Commission report, the CM is attempting to spread hatred in the society and create division between different castes. BJP will not tolerate these caste-based divisions,” he said.

Vijayendra also pledged that he would not rest until the BJP wins the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He said, “BJP faces a big challenge in the state and the new team has given me immense strength to fight against the anti-people policies of Congress. The pre-poll alliance of BJP and JDS helps them win maximum parliamentary constituencies in the 2024 general elections, the Shikaripura MLA said.

The BJP state president also said that the meeting of the newly formed state BJP executive committee will be held on Tuesday. He said, “We will not rest until BJP comes to power at the Centre. Narendra Modi should become the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive time and the people of Karnataka will play a major role in it.

Vijayendra said that the farmers of the state have started criticizing the Congress government of the state within just six months of coming to power, which shows the anti-people policies of the government.

Earlier, Vijayendra, who visited Davangere city for the first time after becoming the state president of BJP, received a warm welcome. Later he was taken to the venue with the convoy. He called upon the BJP workers to strengthen the party and bring the party to power.
