Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor Khan’s gripping thriller The Buckingham Murders is all set for its OTT debut, creating a buzz among mystery lovers. After wowing audiences in theatres since its release on September 13, the film is set to premiere on Netflix this October, although the exact date is still under wraps. Directed by the acclaimed Hansal Mehta, the film follows the life of Jasmeet Bhamra, a British-Indian detective who is dealing with personal grief after the tragic death of her child.
Her latest case, the disappearance of another child, leads her down a dark and dangerous path, mixing heartache with high-stakes mystery. The film boasts a stellar cast, with Kareena joined by talents such as actor-chef Ranveer Brar, Sarah Jane Dias, Prabhleen Sandhu, Keith Allen, Ash Tandon and Sanjeev Mehra. Kareena is not just a great performer but has also donned the role of a producer in collaboration with Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures and Mahana Films.
The film first enthralled international audiences at the 67th BFI London Film Festival on October 14, 2023 and later opened the prestigious Mumbai Film Festival at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre on October 27. With a box office collection of around Rs 14 crore till date, The Buckingham Murders continues to garner attention for its intense narrative and fine performances.
