The mischievous act that happened to a popular Kannada TV actress in Bengaluru is now creating a huge stir in the film industry. The 32-year-old TV actress has approached the cybercrime police alleging that she was secretly filmed in the women’s toilet while she was on a programme and then blackmailed with the videos. The FIR states that the incident took place between February 6 and 13 at an indoor stadium in Bengaluru. She alleged that an unknown person secretly filmed obscene videos while she was using the washroom and then tried to spread them on Instagram.
However, the police, who registered a case in this incident, have revealed several key details. The police said that the accused initially sent these videos to the Instagram account of the actress’s friend and started threatening her, thinking that it was the actress’s account. The police also said that the blackmailer had warned that he had more personal videos and that he would expose them on social media if the money was not given. Taking this matter seriously, the police have registered cases against the accused under Section 354C of the IPC as well as the IT Act. On the other hand, suspicions are also being expressed about the role of the production boys or other staff working at the shooting locations. Currently, the police are in the process of identifying the accused based on the Instagram account.
