Kanimozhi MP targets the central government over gas cylinder crisis and inflation

Tamil Nadu: Senior DMK leader and MP Kanimozhi expressed serious concern about the availability of cooking gas cylinders in the country. She stated that the shortage is having a direct and profound impact on ordinary people. According to her, this situation is impacting domestic life and people are facing difficulties in meeting their daily needs.
Kanimozhi, who was in Tirunelveli on Saturday to attend the DMK Executive Committee meeting, also commented on the current economic situation. She stated that not only gas cylinders but also petrol and diesel prices are continuously increasing, increasing the burden of inflation on the general public. She expressed concern that the increase in fuel prices will also impact the prices of other essential commodities and could further increase inflation in the market.
Kanimozhi also expressed concern about the state of the country’s currency. She stated that the Indian rupee’s continued weakening against the US dollar is a serious sign for the economy. According to her, this situation points to economic instability and could further exacerbate the country’s financial challenges.
Questioning the central government’s policies, she said that the Prime Minister and other people in positions of responsibility are only advising the people, but no concrete and clear plan is being put forward to improve the situation. She said that the government is not providing any assurance that the public will soon find a solution to the economic problems.
Kanimozhi also alleged that the government’s statements are increasing anxiety and uncertainty rather than providing reassurance. According to her, in the current situation, people need a stable and clear economic policy, but this is not visible at the moment.
The DMK leader said that the general public is already suffering from inflation, rising fuel prices, and the falling value of the currency. In such a situation, it is the government’s responsibility to take concrete steps and provide relief to the people. She stressed that mere rhetoric will not improve the situation, but rather requires real policy decisions.
Overall, Kanimozhi’s statement has once again intensified the political debate regarding the country’s economic situation, inflation, and the fuel crisis. The opposition says that the government should take immediate effective steps so that the general public can get relief and economic stability can be restored.
