Banda: A journalist was stabbed to death while his colleague was seriously injured in Sadar Kotwali area of Fatehpur district in Uttar Pradesh, police said on Thursday. Four accused have been arrested in the case. A police officer said that preliminary investigation has revealed that the reason for the attack could be a land dispute. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Fatehpur district Vijay Shankar Mishra said that Dilip Saini (45), a district level correspondent of a news agency, was attacked by some people with a knife near Bhitaura bypass in Sadar Kotwali area of the city on Wednesday night. The police officer said that his colleague Shahid Khan, who came to rescue him, was also injured in the attack. According to the ASP, Saini died during treatment at a hospital in Kanpur, while Khan is still undergoing treatment. Mishra said that on the basis of the complaint of the journalist’s wife, a case has been registered against seven named and some unidentified people and four of them have been arrested. Investigation into the case is ongoing.
