Joint task force will keep an eye on industries

BBN. Industries Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan has announced the formation of a joint task force to review the safety aspects of industrial units. This task force will identify industries using flammable and hazardous substances and give appropriate directions to ensure safety norms. Apart from this, the fire department was also instructed to conduct fire audit of the industries and submit the report within a month.

The Industries Minister said that the State Government will ensure that unfortunate incidents like the one at the company located at Jharmajri in Baddi are not repeated. Harshvardhan Chauhan was presiding over a meeting organized with officials of various departments and representatives of various industries in Baddi on Monday.

Harsh Vardhan Chauhan said that the task force will inspect various industries and ensure that the storage of diesel, petrol, alcohol and chemicals is as per the capacity. He instructed the fire department to conduct fire audit of all industries within a month.
