Joint sit-in of the grand alliance at the block headquarters of Bihar against the policies of the Modi government

Patna (IANS) | In protest against the policies of the central government, the leaders of all the constituents of the ruling grand alliance in Bihar demonstrated in the block headquarters on Thursday and sat on a dharna. In this sequence, the leaders and workers talked about driving away the BJP from the power at the Center. The leaders sitting on the dharna criticized the central government for caste census, inflation, unemployment, misuse of constitutional institutions, increasing attacks on constitution and democracy, continuous reduction in food, housing and other beneficial schemes for Dalits and poor, reduction in schemes like MNREGA. But hit hard.

The leaders besieged the central government for doubling the income of farmers, giving legal recognition to MSP and expanding it to all crops, banning the politics of hatred and hysteria, as well as other issues related to public concern. RJD spokesperson Chittaranjan Gagan told that in this program, six parties RJD, Congress, CPI Male, CPM and CPI jointly staged dharna at all 534 block headquarters of the state.

While addressing the dharna programme, the anti-people and anti-constitutional attitude of the central government was strongly criticized. RJD spokesperson said that along with all the senior leaders of the parties involved in the Grand Alliance, all the MLAs participated in the dharna organized in their respective areas. After the dharna, a memorandum regarding their demands was handed over to the concerned Block Development Officer.

This is the first agitational program at the state level by the Grand Alliance against the central government. A large number of common people and women participated in this protest. The spokesman said that RJD state president Jagdanand Singh reviewed the program and congratulated all the leaders and workers of the grand alliance including RJD for making it successful.
