JKTF highlights demands, resents delay in DPC of Teachers

 An emergency meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum was held under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, here today, for highlighting the demands, particularly the issue of conduct of DPC of Teachers to Masters which is pending since long time.
The meet expressed grave concern over the delaying tactics adopted by the higher authorities on the one pretext or the other on promotion issue.
The speakers expressed the resentment over the orders asking the Teachers to produce genuineness certificate of the Degrees from the Jammu, Kashmir, IGNOU and MANU universities and other National Universities recognised by the UGC and DEC, whereas to obtain the genuineness certificate is not in the domain of Teachers but can be in obtained by the DDOs only.
The meet appealed Ganesh Khajuria to vigorously pursue with both the Directorates of J&K Divisions for holding DPC before declaration of Model Code of Conduct.
Ganesh Khajuria announced that JKTF will decide the next course of action after Feb 15 to get the matter resolved after detailed deliberations with the central leadership and will not hesitate to adopt the path of agitation.
He appealed the teaching community to focus on the unity for the resolution of genuine cause and prepare themselves for the decisive struggle.
Senior leadership of the Forum, present in the meeting, included S Surat Singh Toofani, Darshan Sharma, Javed Ahmed Malik, J.A Agah, Bashir Ahmed Thokar, S Ravinder Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Raj Singh, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Kuldeep Verma, P D Singh, Gautam Singh, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Ravinder Tripathi, Jugal Dubey, Choudhary Rashpal Singh, Pritam Singh, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Pawan Kumar Sharma, and others.
