Maharashtra: Nationalist Congress (Sharad Pawar) party leader Jitendra Awadh and MP Bajrang Sonavane have made sensational allegations that the SIT appointed by the state government in the murder case of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh in Beed is a close police officer of Valmik Karad. Along with this, Bajrang Sonavane has also filed a complaint with the Human Rights Commission in this matter. How will the police officers who are friends of Valmik Karad conduct an impartial investigation? Such a question is now being raised by the opposition.
Jitendra Awadh, Shri. Sonavane and social activist Anjali Damania shared a photo of Valmik Karad on X. In which it is alleged that Police Sub Inspector (PSI) Mahesh Vigne and Valmik Karad are seen together. The result of the Legislative Assembly was declared on 23 November 2024. It is being claimed that this photo was taken that day while celebrating the victory of Dhananjay Munde. It is being said from this photo that there is a close relationship between Valmik Karad and PSI Mahesh Vigne. The SIT appointed to investigate the Santosh Deshmukh murder case is also alleging that Mahesh Vighne is the same. In a post on X, Jitendra Avadh said, “In the Santosh Deshmukh case, a prominent IPS outsider has been appointed in the SIT appointed by the government. The officers given under him are Valmik’s police. Look at one of these PSI Mahesh Vighne. Dhananjay Munde’s photo is after he was elected. See how close and loving the relationship is. Will these officers punish Valmik or help him?
This same Vighne worked during the elections as if he was Dhananjay Munde’s worker.” Along with this, Jitendra Avadh has also posted another photo. Giving information about this, he said, ‘The other Manoj Kumar Wagh Valmik is a very special man of Karad and has been in Beed LCB for the last 10 years and is working for Valmik.” Anjali Damania, who raised her voice in the Santosh Deshmukh murder case, has also raised questions on the investigation by sharing the photo of PSI Mahesh Vigne on Instagram. Beed MP Bajrang Sonawane has also made the same allegation. Talking to a news channel, Bajrang Sonawane said that on the day of the assembly results, Mahesh Vigne and Valmik Karad celebrated the victory together. Mahesh Vigne has been included in the SIT appointed in the Santosh Deshmukh murder case. He criticized and said that if the friend of the accused is going to investigate, then we should think how good the investigation will be.
