Jharkhand Governor Radhakrishnan took oath as the Governor of Telangana.

Hyderabad: Jharkhand Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan took oath as the Governor of Telangana on Wednesday. Telangana High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradhe administered the oath of office to Radhakrishnan at a ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan. On this occasion, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, his cabinet colleagues and senior officials were present. Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari read out the appointment warrant issued by the President appointing the Governor of Jharkhand to discharge the functions of the Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry in addition to his own duties. The Chief Justice handed over the warrant of appointment to the Governor. Radhakrishnan has been given the additional charge of Telangana and Puducherry after the resignation of Tamilisai Sundararajan. Sundararajan is planning to contest the Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu. Radhakrishnan is the third Governor of Telangana. He has been MP from Coimbatore twice as a BJP candidate. He took over as the Governor of Jharkhand last year. Interestingly, all three governors of Telangana since the formation of the state in 2014 are from Tamil Nadu. ESL Narasimhan and Tamilisai Sundararajan were also from Tamil Nadu.
