Japanese Prime Minister gave a warm welcome to the leaders

Hiroshima: The summit meeting of G-7 (Group of Seven) countries is being held in the city of Hiroshima, East Asian country, Japan. These meetings will be held for three days from today to May 21. Leaders from G-7 member countries Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, UK and US attended these meetings.

On the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also went to Hiroshima for this meeting of G-7 countries. Various leaders laid wreaths and paid their respects near the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima, the site of the atomic bomb attack during the Second World War. In these meetings, the heads of the G-7 countries are likely to strongly condemn Russia’s war on Ukraine and continue their support for Ukraine.

Japan is chairing this G-7 summit. In this meeting, Prime Minister Modi will address global challenges including food, fertilizers and energy security. Similarly, it is reported that the Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with some of the leaders attending these meetings.
