Since the annual Amarnath Yatra began on July 3, more than three lakh pilgrims have performed the pilgrimage, setting a new record.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Tuesday that this year’s pilgrimage has crossed the three lakh mark in just 12 days, making it the fastest to achieve this milestone.
The LG praised officials, service providers, and volunteers for ensuring the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage. In a post on X, Sinha said, “The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra has set a historic new record by crossing the three lakh mark in just 12 days. I commend all the officials, service providers, and volunteers. Their dedication and hard work has made this holy pilgrimage easy and memorable for every devotee of Baba Barfani. Har Har Mahadev!”
