Jalandhar: Two people including school director arrested on charges of espionage and conspiracy

Jalandhar: Mehatpur police have arrested a school operator and his relative on charges of espionage and criminal conspiracy. Shahkot Deputy Superintendent of Police Onkar Singh Brar said the accused have been identified as Albin Antony, a resident of Kerala and operator of St Jude Convent School in Umre Wal Billa Village and his relative Sharo Shiju (19), a resident of Kerala, currently living at Guru Gobind Singh Avenue in Jalandhar and staying at Umre Wal School. The victim’s father complained to the police that the accused recorded a video of his daughter inappropriately. The DSP said a case has been registered against the accused under sections 77 and 61(2) of the Indian Justice Code and sections 13,14 and 15 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2019. Further investigation is underway. Dowry accused PO arrested PHAGWARA: The Nakodar City Police have arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) who was absconding for the past few weeks. Investigating officer Dilbag Singh said that the accused has been identified as Amanpreet Singh, a resident of Takhtoo Pura village under Nihal Singh Wala police station in Moga. The accused was wanted in a dowry harassment case.
