Jalandhar: Based on a complaint from Inderjit Singh of Jagpalpur village near Phagwara, police have registered a case against Hira Lal, a fake travel agent from Gahor village near Goraya, for allegedly defrauding a man of ₹1.90 lakh by promising to send him abroad.
According to the complaint, Inderjit alleged that Hira Lal took ₹1.90 lakh from him by promising to arrange his trip abroad. However, after receiving the money, the accused neither sent him abroad nor returned the money, prompting the complainant to approach the police for action.
