Jalandhar: Today is the last date for regularizing water connection

Jalandhar: September 4 is the last date for regularizing illegal water supply and sewerage connections in the city under the One Time Settlement Scheme (OTS). The Municipal Corporation has asked the citizens to take advantage of this scheme. Under the domestic category, a one-time fee of Rs 400 to Rs 2000 will have to be deposited for plots ranging from 125 sq yd to 250 sq yd. Under the professional category, a fee of Rs 2000 will have to be deposited for a plot up to 250 sq yd and Rs 4000 for an area more than 250 sq yd. After this, other charges like road cutting, connection fee and security will not be charged.
