Punjab: Three people, including a husband and wife, died in separate road accidents in different areas of the district. Police have registered cases in both incidents and arrested the accused in one. According to reports, Avtar Singh of Hardokhanpur filed a complaint with the Focal Point police, stating that his sister Harpinder Kaur and brother-in-law Sukhwant Singh, residents of Sangrowal, were traveling on a motorcycle when they were hit by a speeding vehicle near a school on the Singriwali bypass road. Both were rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared them dead. Police have registered a case against an unknown driver. In another incident, Avtar Singh of village Sulehriyan informed Mukerian police that his son Harjot Singh was returning from Mukerian on his scooter. He was hit by a car near village Chak Alabaash, leaving him seriously injured. Harjot Singh died during treatment. Police have registered a case against the accused car driver Sachin, a resident of Jagatpura, Hoshiarpur, and arrested him.
