Jalandhar: State Technical University Launches Admission Portal

Jalandhar: IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG-PTU) has launched its registration-cum-admission portal for the new academic session 2026-27. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sushil Mittal launched this website with the objective of providing “maximum digital solutions and convenience to students.” The university conducts admissions digitally every year and updates its digital admission portal each time based on feedback received from students and their parents. Officials stated that the admission portal has been made even more student-friendly.
Through this portal, the university has commenced admissions for its main campus in Kapurthala, as well as its other campuses located in Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali, and Batala. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mittal stated that, in alignment with the vision of the Punjab Government, IKG-PTU is providing excellent faculty and infrastructure across all its campuses at very affordable fees. He added that students from other states are also reaching out through digital channels to seek admission to the university’s various campuses.
He appealed to parents and students to ensure they verify the credentials and capabilities of educational institutions through digital means. Present on this occasion were IKG-PTU Registrar Dr. Navdeepak Sandhu, Dean Academics-cum-Chief Coordinator (Admissions) Dr. Yadwinder Singh Brar, Dean (R&D) Dr. Praveen Bansal, Dean Dr. Gaurav Bhargava, Finance Officer Dr. Sukhbir Singh Walia, Controller of Examinations Dr. Paramjit Singh, Associate Dean Dr. Rajiv Bedi, Deputy Registrar (Academics and Admissions) Dr. Pawan Garg, Heads of Departments (HODs) of academic campus courses, and other university officials.
