Jalandhar: Over 500 people displayed skill and sportsmanship at the annual athletics meet.

Jalandhar: Kanya Mahavidyalaya (KMV) College organized its annual athletics meet, “Trailblazers-2026.” Meena Pawar, in-charge of Jalandhar’s Traffic Awareness Cell and an international weightlifter with the Punjab Police, was the guest of honor. The college’s volleyball, handball, softball, kho-kho athletes, and NCC squad also marched past. Over 500 athletes showcased their athletic skills during the athletics meet. Addressing the gathering, Professor Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all the sportswomen who have made a name for themselves in the field of sports through their hard work and skill. She stated that sports has been a prestigious human activity since the beginning of human civilization, and we cannot imagine a world without sports. She encouraged everyone to participate wholeheartedly in the day’s events. During the day’s colorful program, various events were held in the Players and Non-Players categories, such as 100-meter and 200-meter races, a sack race, a needle and thread race, a three-legged race, and a 400-meter race for non-Players. Other events for faculty included tug of war (male and female staff) and musical chairs.
The winners of the various events were: In the 100-meter race for non-Players, Sukhmanpreet took first place, followed by Pushti in second and Renuka in third. In the Players category, Sanjana came first, Navdeep in second, and Diksha in third. In the Hostel Students category, Tashu came first, Manveer in second, and Reena in third. In the three-legged race for non-Players, Jaspreet and Sewak took first place, followed by Jahnvi and Nandani in second, and Rohini and Aarti in third. In the three-legged race for the hostel students category, Tashu and Lovepreet won first place, followed by Reena and Garima in second place, and Vishali and Aarushi in third place. Furthermore, in the 200-meter race for the non-players category, Sukhmanpreet won first place, followed by Prachi in second place, and Priyanjali in third place. In the players category, Sanjana won first place, Navdeep in second place, and Amanat in third place. Furthermore, in the 400-meter race for players, Sanjana won first place, Amanat in second place, and Smriti in third place.
