Jalandhar: A retired school principal died after being seriously injured in a collision with a Scorpio car in Chabbewal town. The accident occurred around 12:30 pm on the Hoshiarpur-Chandigarh road in the main market area of Chabbewal. According to eyewitnesses, the scooter rider had gone slightly past the road divider and was attempting to turn towards Gian village when a Scorpio coming from the Hoshiarpur side collided with the two-wheeler. The scooter was badly damaged in the collision, and the rider sustained serious injuries. The Scorpio driver took the injured man to a nearby hospital. Seeing his critical condition, he was referred to the government hospital in Hoshiarpur, where doctors declared him dead. The deceased has been identified as Ajit Singh, a resident of Khanur. He was a retired principal of Palri School.
