Jalandhar: Savinder Kaur, Senior Coordinator (PGT Biology) of Sanskriti KMV School has been honoured with the Des Raj Vedhara Memorial Best Teacher Award 2024 for her passion and enthusiasm towards teaching. The award was presented during the fifth annual Des Raj Vedhara Memorial Best Teacher Award ceremony organised by DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur. Savinder Kaur, serving at Sanskriti KMV School for the past 19 years, has been recognised for her innovative teaching methods and her unwavering commitment towards student development. Throughout her tenure, Savinder Kaur has been working to engage students, foster a positive learning environment and prepare them for regional, national and international level competitions. Jalandhar: Students of M R International School, Adampur celebrated the first ‘Prakash Utsav’ of Guru Granth Sahib with respect and reverence. The celebrations began with a morning prayer led by Head Boy Baldeep Sahil and Head Girl Anchal, in which the students expressed their deep reverence for the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib. Soulful poems and shabads were presented in the program, which reflected the spiritual significance of the occasion. Karanveer, Karman Singh, Eklavya, Armeet Kaur, Angel, Jasleen Kaur, Paramveer Singh and Baljot Singh presented soulful group shabads. The celebrations concluded with a group song presented by the students along with music teacher Raman Kumar. On behalf of the school management, Dr. Ashish Tandon urged the students to follow the path and principles laid down by the Gurus.
Asian Martial Arts Sports Competition
Jalandhar: Jashandeep Kaur, a student of Class VIII of State Public School, Jalandhar Cantt, won the first place in kick-boxing in the Asian Martial Arts Sports Competition organised by ‘Martial Art Passion Tiger Welfare Association’ at Lovely Professional University. She brought laurels to her parents and school by winning the prize in the competition.
