Jalandhar: Based on a complaint from Jalandhar resident Ranjit Kaur, the Sadar Kapurthala police have registered a case against Yuvraj, alias Luv, and his family members under sections 363 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly kidnapping and unlawful confinement of her daughter. According to the complaint, Ranjit Kaur stated that on December 23, she and her daughter had visited her maternal village, Mannana. During the visit, her daughter received a phone call and left the house to answer it. When she did not return, the family became concerned and began searching for her, but could not find her.
The complainant alleged that Yuvraj, in collusion with his family and relatives, forcibly took her away. She further claimed that her daughter was held captive at an unknown location. Police officials confirmed that an investigation has been initiated and efforts are underway to locate the missing girl. He said that the call detail records and the accused’s actions are being investigated, and appropriate legal action will be taken based on the results. Officials have assured the family that all steps are being taken to ensure the girl’s safety and to determine the truth behind the allegations.
