Charanjit Kaur Cheema, former Registrar of PNRC and Principal (Retd) of Nursing Training School, Gurdaspur and Dr Arvindervir Singh Gill, resident of Basant Vihar, Hoshiarpur have already been arrested. The spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that during the investigation of the complaint received regarding irregularities in admissions, examinations and results in private nursing colleges, it has come to light that PNRC officials, in connivance with the managers of private nursing colleges, have tampered with the government records and conducted examinations of nursing students without admission forms, examination forms and required examination fees. He further said that during the investigation it was found that KD College of Nursing, Mahilpur was recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi on September 25, 2019 and by PNRC on November 29, 2012. Admission forms and receipt numbers were found to have been issued by PNRC even before this college got recognition.
