Jalandhar: A local farmer was reportedly killed in a violent clash inside a house in Mandali village near Phagwara when he was attacked by a migrant laborer hired for farm work. Residents described the incident as sudden and shocking, creating an atmosphere of tension and fear in the area.
According to the victim’s wife, Palwinder Kaur, the migrant laborer, who was staying at their home, allegedly began abusing her husband, Davinder Singh. When Davinder resisted the abuse, the situation escalated. During the scuffle, the laborer reportedly attacked him with an unknown object, leaving him seriously injured. Davinder Singh was immediately rushed to Phagwara Civil Hospital for treatment. However, doctors on emergency duty declared him dead. Doctors stated that the exact cause of death will be determined by the postmortem report.
