Jalandhar: Water, one of nature’s most precious gifts, is considered the foundation of life and the lifeline of human civilization. Conserving this precious resource not only protects the environment but also strengthens human health, ecological balance, and societal well-being. Strengthening this important message, the Sant Nirankari Mission, under the guidance of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and Nirankari Rajpita Ramit Ji, successfully launched the fourth phase of its nationwide environmental initiative, “Clean Water, Clean Mind.” This large-scale campaign proved to be a powerful tool for spreading awareness, motivating people across India to embrace environmental responsibility and spiritual consciousness. According to Malikyat Chand, Branch Coordinator, Sant Nirankari Mission, Phagwara, the drive was organized at 1,600 locations in 930 cities across 25 states and union territories. Approximately 1.2 million volunteers participated in this initiative, working together to clean and protect natural water bodies, including rivers, ponds, lakes, and canals.
Organized under the aegis of the Mission’s social welfare wing, the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, this initiative is part of ‘Project Amrit,’ which integrates environmental protection with spiritual awakening. The campaign emphasizes that external cleanliness must be accompanied by internal purity, thereby aligning environmental responsibility with moral and spiritual values. During a special gathering at Burari Chowk Ground in Delhi, Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj emphasized in her address that true tribute is not just through words, but through action. She encouraged devotees to adopt the virtues of service, love, compassion, humility, and equality in their daily lives. Recalling the teachings of Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, she reiterated that service, meditation, and spiritual companionship are the foundation of a purposeful and fulfilling life. In Phagwara, volunteers and Seva Dal members enthusiastically participated in the cleaning of the Bist-Doab Canal, demonstrating everyone’s commitment and civic responsibility. Armed with cleaning tools and driven by a spirit of selfless service, participants removed garbage and debris from the canal, helping restore water flow and cleanliness. The event concluded with a collective appeal urging people to participate in such selfless acts and embrace water conservation and environmental protection as a shared social responsibility.
