Jalandhar: Canadian wrestler Harjot Shergill, who recently won the Under-17 Punjab Bal Kesari title, was felicitated by the Kapurthala Wrestling Association at the Raipur Dabba Olympic Wrestling Academy in Param Nagar on Kothran Road in Phagwara. The ceremony was held in village Mannhana to commemorate the annual remembrance of Saint Baba Hari Singh Neki Wale, where traditional wrestling competitions are also held.
The felicitation ceremony was conducted under the leadership of former international wrestling coach PR Sondhi. The Kapurthala Wrestling Association, under the leadership of its President Rimple Kumar (Sarpanch of Wajidwal) and General Secretary Reet Preet Pal Singh, presented Shergill with a memento and a special robe for his achievement.
