Jalandhar: In a major crackdown, police have arrested Jaswinder Singh, a resident of Badshahpur, Kapurthala, for possession of narcotic substances. Police said that during a routine check at Gurdwara Sangsar, the suspect was found carrying a transparent bag containing a suspicious substance in his jacket pocket. Upon checking, the bag contained 170 grams of opium, which was immediately seized by the concerned officials. The accused was taken into custody. A case has been registered against him under the NDPS Act.
