Jaito: The matter of continuous thefts in Jaito is hot. Every day, news of thefts keep coming from somewhere or the other. Information has been received about theft of 10 tola gold, 1.75 kg silver and cash worth 30 thousand rupees from one such house. The owner of this house, Bablu, told that all the members of the family had left the house at 6 am to listen to the satsang organized in Dhuri.
When the family members returned home at 3 pm after listening to the satsang. At that time, their house was locked. It seemed that the thieves must have entered this house by crossing the roof. He opened the lock and entered his house. Then he saw in the house that all the things inside the house were scattered here and there. The shelves were open. When he investigated, he saw that 6 tola gold and 25 tola silver were missing from the big iron box lying in the balcony.
2 gold rings and 1.5 kg silver were missing from the small box inside the room. Inside the room, everything was stolen including 2 tola gold from the bed chest and 30 thousand rupees cash from the trunk. The owner of the house told that they also took away cash of about one thousand rupees from the cupboard and copper-brass worth about four thousand rupees in a bag.

It is noteworthy that the thieves also took away the broken locks with them. An FIR has also been lodged in Jaito police station by the family. Expressing their opposition to this, the people of this locality, men and women, strongly protested. There was a lot of sloganeering from the protesters. On this occasion, the residents of the locality, Devraj, Roshan Lal, Babbu Rajora, Paramjit, Balram, Singh, Makhan Singh, Om Prakash, Sheela Rani, Khajani Devi, Gide Devi, Neelam Rani and Monica etc. were also present. The protesters demanded that some solution should be found soon for the theft in this house. He further said that if the thieves are not caught soon, then the residents of the locality will start a strong struggle and during the struggle, sit-in demonstrations will also be held.
