JAC JTET 2024: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has released the notification of Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) for the youth who wish to become teachers in government schools of Jharkhand. According to reports, candidates can apply by visiting the JAC exam portal till August 22. According to the notification, the form for Paper-1 for classes 1 to 5 and Paper-2 for classes 6 to 8 can be filled online.
Educational Qualification:
For Paper-I in Educational Qualification, candidates must have passed 12th class with at least 50% marks or they must have 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor’s degree. For Paper II, candidates must have B.Ed. degree, 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Bachelor of Science Arts degree and Bachelor of Education (Integrated). Primary teachers will have to pass Paper I to teach classes 1 to 5, while passing Paper II is necessary to teach classes 6 to 8.
Exam in pen-and-paper mode, no negative marking:
According to the report, the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test will be in pen-and-paper mode. There is no negative marking in it. Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam. The exam paper will be available in both Hindi and English languages. Talking about the duration, the exam will be of 2 hours 30 minutes.
Age limit:
According to the notification, the minimum age requirement for Paper I is 18 years, while the minimum age requirement for Paper II is 21 years. There is no upper age limit for any post.
Application fee:
For Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test, the application fee for General, Extremely Backward Classes, Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections will be Rs 1300 and for Divyang, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes it will be Rs 700 online.
Jharkhand Teacher Exam 2024 Selection Process:
