Israelis hold rallies in support of ceasefire in Jerusalem

Israel: Dozens of Israeli protesters have gathered in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem to urge an immediate ceasefire and prisoner-release agreement, as their country’s delegation prepares for a second round of talks in Qatar today. Zahiro Shahar Mor, a relative of an Israeli detainee in Gaza, joined the crowd of protesters in Tel Aviv. “We need a ceasefire to bring all of them [Israeli detainees] back,” he said, accusing the Israeli government of “sabotaging any [ceasefire] effort for the past 10 months.” He added: “We have little hope that the Israeli delegation will work seriously to sign this agreement and we call on the countries of the world… to help us put as much pressure as possible on both sides, especially the Israeli government.”
