Ipl 2026 Auction To Feature 350 Players Including 240 Indian Cricketers

The IPL 2026 Auction will be held on December 16 for the 2026 IPL season. Around 350 cricketers will participate in the auction. Out of which, 240 are Indian cricketers. The auction will be held in Abu Dhabi for the T20 Cricket League. South African batsman Quinton de Kock has been included in the final list of the auction. It is known that he came back from ODI retirement and participated in the recent ODI series against India. He is available for a base price of Rs 1 crore. Australian batsman Steve Smith is also ready for the auction for a base price of Rs 2 crore. Steve Smith last played in the IPL in 2021.

In fact, 1390 people registered for the IPL player auction. Out of that, 350 were shortlisted. In the first set, Indian batsmen Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan were auctioned for a base price of Rs 75 lakh. Australian players Cameron Green, Jake Fraser McGurk, Kiwis players Dewan Conway and South African batsman David Miller are on the list for a base price of Rs 2 crore. Kunal Chandela, who scored the most runs in the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, and Ashok Kumar, who took wickets, are on the base price of Rs 2 crore.

Kolkata Knight Riders will participate in the auction this time with a price tag of 64.3 crores for players. Five-time winners Chennai will participate in the auction with a price tag of 43.4 crores and Sunrisers Hyderabad will participate in the auction with a purse of 25.5 crores. This time, 21 English cricketers are competing for the auction. Wicketkeeper and batter Jamie Smith, Gus Atkinson, Livingstone and Ben Duckett are in the race.

19 Australian players are participating in the auction. Green is on the top list. Josh English, Short, Cooper Connolly and Webster are also there. 15 South African players include de Kock and Miller. Fast bowlers include Norje, Lungi Ngidi, Gerald Coetzee and Mulder. West Indies include Algerie Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Akeem Agastya, Shai Hope and Roston Chase along with 9 others. Sri Lankan cricketers include Hasaranga, Dunith Vellalaghe, Teekshana, Travin Mathew, Nishanka, Kusal Mendis and Perera.

Along with Conway and Ravindra, 16 Kiwi cricketers are in the auction. Afghanistan’s Gurbas and Naveen-ul-Haq are among the 19 players in the auction list.
